OPEN HOUSE IS FINALLY OVER!

Once again, I am the only one updating this blog! You guys honestly need to on your computer and post something here! :)

I just wanted to say Thank You for all the help! Without every one of you, the Open House would not be successful. A round of applause to our dear Sec 1s who did tremendously well eventhough it is their first time doing such event (they performed repeteadly!). Molto Bene Ballerini.

Don't forget to say your thank you's to Nicole for the amazing Noticeboard Decor as well as the friendship bands! A cheer for Alphonsine who did great for the presentation despite the fact that she only saw the powerpoint today! :D A hug to Rachel Ho for buying our snacks! Give your sweetest smiles to our dear Seniors: Nathaynia & Serene who supported us (though they came late!) Hehehehehehehehehe.

ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR BEING THERE!

just a reflected note, do remember what Mr Michael told us during the de-brief as well as what Ms Lo Pui Sze said (about our energy and will!). ^^ Always remember that Through Work Achieve Success, let's strive together to get that GOLD WITH HONOURS next year! Buona Sera Ballerini!

I just noticed that no one seems to care about this blog of ours? As a matter of fact, I only see seniors posting! This is after all an AES DANCE ENSEMBLE blog, so you Ballerini should at least post right, especially the Sec 01s. ^^

Let me get down to business first.
As we all know, we have new dance schedule so here you go:

25 and 26 Nov - 12pm to 6pm @ ODT
27 Nov - 9am to 3pm @ school

A gentle reminder to all OPEN HOUSE ICs, are you all ready to show to Mr Michael the finishing product? The Pamphlets, Decorations, Video & Performance? Do remember that Open House is this SATURDAY! So here's the deal...

On 26 Nov, be in school at 8am for our Open House Dry Run.
All hair extensions, eyebrow piercing etc should be removed by then!
We will be in school until 10 - 11 am afterwhich we will go together to ODT.

While on 27 Nov, be in school by 8am as well!
Remember, do not be late or we will have to do the DANCE PUNISHMENT again!

Latecomers (those who are late for pre-debrief and practice)
1st offender starting on Saturday: a 150 essay why they are late and what
they should do about it. (will add 100words if its second time lala)
Not in Proper Attire (Those not wearing leotard with PROPER sq shorts etc)
1st offender starting on Saturday: write: I promise to wear my proper dance attire from now on. 100 times. (will add 100 if its second time lala)
Absent from DANCE without MC/Parents Letter
1st offender starting on Saturday: Sing a song in front of the dancers
(their own song, should be an apology song!) if second time, we will take video!

*any questions or complaints about this new punishment,
message Dianne. If not, it will be finalised!

(d) Character Development

Few reminders:
-you are to pin up your fringe at all times!
-no dancers should be caught for attire problem!
-no dancers should be late for school! (IMPORTANT)
-no dancers should have any green form or attitude problem!
-stay out of trouble and be good in class k?!
-no dancers should have detention.

IMPORTANT:
dancers with multiple ear holes, you are not to wear them during dance
practices and school as well. BY RIGHT, NO DANCERS SHOULD DO ANY PIERCINGS
(should be just 2 holes) , DYEING OF HAIR, BELLY PEIRCINGS WHATSOEVER.
Reason: Dance does not want to have ahleins, ahbengs, minah etc as members.

(e) Dance homework: If I was the dance president/leader, I would...
Write a 150words or more regarding this.

Reason: Dianne needs help from you guys. Need ideas :D
Hand in by Tuesday, all papers should be given to dianne by

ps/ Dianne is gonna order dance jacket for us. so if you have any ideas
on how it should look like, draw or write it down in a piece of paper and give
it to Dianne. We need logo and such. If you want cool jackets, better give me
ideas or not Dianne will make it ugly! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Budget should not exceed to 30$! Best if its around 20$.
Deadline of submission is by Friday 11.59pm!

THE AMAZING RACE :D

it still bothers me so much why
none of you dancers bother to blog about
this event. was it not fun?

Don't be lazy to post yeahs?

First off , I would like to congratulate the
Pink Team for winning the race. You guys
showed teamwork, CHRIST value and of
course enthusiasm throughout the race!!!

From my perspective , I think
that all dancers did well during the race!
hope you guys had fun playing cause Sec3s are
kinda jealous that you played the game while we Sec3
dancers wait for you all to find our stations!
HAHAHAHAHA.

yes, being a station master can be very boring.

Not really complaining cause
it's for you guys. :) You do know why
we held this right? It's to make you guys esp the
new members feel welcome & have a sense of togetherness!
yes. yes. So seriously, let's be more united!

So the stations were:
(a) Ngee Ann City - Atika
(b) Beside Cineleisure -Nicole
(c) The Herren Old Chang Kee - Nathaynia
(d) The Merlion @ Marina - Filzah
(e) Vivo City - Maryanne

Meeting Station: Outside Esplanade
Final Station: ODT (where else!)

The task was fun too , right? Hahaha. Lots
of interaction. I love Nicole's (ask random people to
put lisptick stains on a piece of tissue) and Maryanne's (dance
in front of people!) You gotta admit, you guys were so
not shy to approach or dance to public.

Thank you Sec3 and Nat for the tasks.

Indeed the race was so troublesome
esp the ezlink part but it's for dance. Haha.
I mean look at Pink and Red Team (crazy people!)
they took cab throughtout the game! Competitive much girls.
Haha. Cassandra especially , hehe. xD

oh yes , Red Team BRAVO btw
for always the first team to finish all the tasks
and reaching first at the Meeting and Final Stations. I mean
you guys were there before the Station masters

Hello hahahahaha! This is my first time blogging for the dancers so I'm giggling right now as you can see. Wooo, I love blogging so I thought why not do it for the dancers right? Hehe.

Well, our oh so amazing Amazing Race will be conducted on Tuesday, 22nd of June and I really hope the Sec 4s can make it though Ana just called me saying that she can't make it. They have lessons and oral. So sad, isn't it? Anyways, I really hope all the Sec 1s and Sec 2s will be able to make it and not give some lamo excuse to escape. Hehe, you know i know.

I know some of you (maybe none haha) are curious about the Sec 3s whereabouts and that you all sense we are keeping something big away from you guys but all I can say is this: THE BEST PRIZE IS A SURPRISE! Nyehehehehe :P

Happy Chinese New Year to all of you! :D
Enjoy your holidays while you can yeah?

Firstly, a round of applause to the sec2s for doing a brilliant & awesome job last friday! It was indeed a nice performance.

The performance they put up was stunningly gorgeous, wasn't it?
It was definitely ~~slutty~~ sizzling hawt!
I look forward onto how this piece of work can be further expanded.

Secondly, there will be dance practice on Wednesday for all dancers.
So make sure that you are at the studio by 230pm sharp ok?
We'll be doing some administrative tasks which the leaders have been assigned to.
So please give the leaders your fullest cooperation such that
we'll be able to finish the tasks quick, alright?

Thirdly, dont forget that there'll be a birthday celebration this Wednesday!
So for those who haven't paid up, please do so by Wednesday.
Otherwise, no money = no food.
Muahahaha! Lol. Okay, moving on!

Please by in proper attire on Wednesday.
No black stockings and no black t-shirt for all seniors plus sec2 dancers.
(excluding those who have just joined us)

3. be in the dance studio by 2.05pm.

Reminder to SEC2s:

1. Bring your costumes.

jacket, pants, black socks,

other things that you need.

2. you are to find a way to be
able to eat as you need to be in the

Hope you all are doing fine with the strenuous dance practices so far yeah.
Especially the sec1s, you people were awesome.
Continue doing your best for every practice & continue polishing it.
Senior dancers, do take note that we have a new schedule already.
Mr Michael will pass it to you this monday, 16th Nov.
We're having Dance camp on the 7th to 11th of Dec, monday to friday.
Those are tentative dates, so we'll still be going for dance next week from wednesday to friday, 18th to 20th Nov.
On monday & tuesday we needn't go to ODT as we'll be having graduation day rehearsals & performance.

Just in case you girls dont know what's our costume for 'Memories', it's white stockings, cotton on top, square shorts & leotard/t-shirts/tank top.

Hey Dancers!

Here's a short update about what's gonna happen:
1. Dance chalet on the 8th December!
2. When you must return to Singapore.

1. Dance Chalet.
Yes, dancers! You got that right! It's a dance chalet!
For the very first time, we are going to have our very own Dance chalet!
Isn't that something to be happy about? ;D
It's on the 8th of December as on the first week of December, the sec1s will be having trainings.
& becos Mr M wants everyone to go, he has made it on the 2nd week of December.
We all owe Mr M a BIG THANKYOU! (:
So that's something for you people to look forward to.

2. Holiday trainings.
Im not sure whether there'll be trainings in Oct & Nov.
But I do knw that you MUST be back in Singapore by the 17th December.
As we'll resume our trainings on the 18th of December.
So do take note of that, alrights?

The showcase went pretty smoothly, I would say.
I can see that most of you gave it your all ytd and Im happy for you.
But when you left, there were tons of rubbish left in the pantry.
I told you all to clear your rubbish but there were still stocking covers left lying arnd.
Worse still, there was a piece of black T-shirt left hanging on the cubicle door.
The seniors cleared everything up for all of you.
Next time, pls bring your rubbish along with you when you leave k?

My deardear beloved dancers!
Another week of dance practice has passed and im certain our bodies are aching.
Hah, dont worry. We've been coping really well recently and ohh, we've discovered new talents!
Ana, atika and filzah have been doing so well in dance recently.
Can tell that they've been putting in effort, which is awesome. So keep it up!
For the rest of the dancers, you have all been doing really good too so dont give up, k?
P.S Just to keep you blog readers updated with what's happening in Dance, on July 22, we celebrated our dear Huiying's birthday. She was so touched that she cried as it was a SUCCESS surprise birthday party!

Turn out , Point your toes!

Intensive Dance Programme or as we
call it 'Torture yet Fun' practice, has finally started!
First practice was on Wednesday at ODT (where else?!) Hahas.
I do hope that you guys are having fun like I do. I mean
yes, it's a bit pain but hey! Wait till the end of it,
I bet we can do SPLITS & stuffs.

We've come so far. Remember
those times that we feel extra 'eew!' with the
fact that we'll be wearing leotards for Dance. Our confused
faces when He taught us the 'Jingle Bells' phrases. Our tortured expressions
when we did splits & penchée.

Hahas! Those were the times.
And here we are now. Some loving those
pains (ehem, Farliana). Some loving those leotards
(ehem Me!). Some just loving the company of each & everyone
of us! And maybe some (hope so!) is loving Mr Tan's
crazy yet ohlalas Choreography!

Anyways, to those people
who don't know, we are learning some Ballet
moves lately! Hahaha. You all should see our faces when
we do arabesque and such.

This post is getting too long already!
So I shall tell you the main reason why I'm here
and blabbering like a maniac.

FARLIANA , you are really doing
amazingly well lately! You've completely blossomed
man. Hehe. Let's continue to do our very best yeahs? We are

Scraped Knees For Souvenir!

19 July, we went for the Punggol Street
Parade for CIP! And did we enjoyed it. Hahahas.
Eventhough we didn't have time to really practice our piece;
Summer Bliss. We did real well. I mean did you guys realise that we danced
on the Street?! Oh yes! We did splits without any
socks. OH-WOW!

Would like to thank our Dear
Farliana for helping us put make-up and for
just being there! Ohmugulays. Your make-up skills are
becoming superb. Haha. Thanks to all the Sec 1s who came also! &
to Miss Yew for the food. Oh yes!

Tips

Apply very thick base, known as foundation too.
Start with the lightest eye colour take note of my starting point and the ending point, don't go over board.
Highlight your brow bone with light shimmery colour.
Green, cover your eye til the crease with green. Make a c shaped shape at the edge of your eye.
Take cotton butt and colour your lower lash green, only half lower lash not over the eyeball.
Eyeliner should always put after the eyeshadow, if you put before eyeshadow, whats YOUR point? your eyeshadow is covering the eyeliner still right?
Eyeliner should be 40& covering the eye. Not too thin not too thick. And Maryanne i would say that your eyeliner really distracts me. I like Mia's eyeliner is very thin and equally drawn
I would recommend liquid liner, its very lasting.
Curl your lashes, coat wit mascara. Clear smudges.
Contour your nose, highlights and also side shadows. Make sure your highlight is straight.
Contour your cheeks, let your cheekbone guide you. Highlight your cheeks as well.
Put a strong a bright lip colour, which can last you throughout the whole day.
Finish with loose powder.
The most important thing is. -red lipstick-highlight colour(white shimmer)-blusher
Always wear eyeshadow first then eyeliner.
Bring plenty of moisturizer and wipes.
17 October is Farliana's birthday, pledge me that you'll remember!!!

Im superduper proud of all the dancers!
Especially the sec1s! Love every single one of you like crap!
Beloved dancers, I know that on Saturday, when we were at Nanyang Primary for our Full-dress rehearsal, what we performed wasn't really the best. We've done waaay better and we know it.
I suppose we weren't exactly ready, were we?
But nevertheless! Dont let one mistake bring you down yeah?
Instead, make use of this mistake to know what went wrong and next time round, we'll do awesomely great and Im certain of that!
And, it's the very first time that we girls, 14 of us, managed to lift Rachael up within the shortest time possible and it's a record broken!
Rmb when we practiced, we would usually take a long time to lift her up?
But last Saturday we did it in like what? 5secs?
My beloved Mingxiang and Victoria, so proud that you two managed to know the steps within 2 weeks! Which is a really short time.
We burnt our December holidays just to come up with this piece and get the steps and timing right. But you two are just so awesome!
I salute you two for doing such an awesome job. ;D
To my other beloved sec1 dancers, dont be disheartened k?
Work hard and you'll receive the reward. ^^

We'll work hard on wed-fri and rock Nanyang Primary on saturday k?
We'll make them breathe with us and we'll lift Rachael up within the shortest time possible agn!

Dear my fellow dancers,

I just want to say that I'm proud of you all!
We've been through a lot. From those painful
splits to those happy 'bonding' time we had.
The misunderstandings and of course the laughing
out loud like no body's business. No matter what
other people say about us, just remember the
'quote' that Mr Michael shared. Let's inspire more
people with our dance yeahs? Let's keep our dance
spirits HIGH alright?!

I know today wasn't one of our best performances
but hey! Look at the bright side: WE MANAGED TO
CARRY THE BENCHES! And Rachael was on top &
everyone was 'Whooooa!'. We all know that we can
definitely do soooo MUCH better. SO LET'S DO IT!

But for now, let's focus on our homeworks & studies!
OMGEE. Hahaha. I know most of us haven't even touched
any of our homeworks. Yikes! If you guys need any help
especially the Sec 1s, please feel free to ask me or the other
seniors! WHAT ARE FAMILY FOR RIGHT? We have tomorrow,
